Documents provides notifications and alerts
Documents provides tools through the messaging system to automatically notify other users when a document is changed, and to subscribe to areas of the document store through bookmarks so that a user will be notified if any information is changed there.
The bookmarks can be divided into categories by each user to assist management and identification within large systems.
This system is particularly useful when the solution is first deployed, before people become frequent users of the system – as these notification can be sent automatically by email.
In general we support notification solutions through the following processes:
• Users adding documents/data can notify all or a selection of users with view permission to advise them the document has been created or edited.
• Users can bookmark areas so if anything changes Claromentis will inform them.
• Users can use ‘reminder’ icons.
These can be sent via
• Instant messaging.
• Emails.
• SMS.
